Most hypercars are seen from behind a rope. Every so often, an owner opens the passenger door instead. Olivier Benloulou did exactly that for our camera (the video went up in 2021), and the full ride is in the video above: the strapping in, the carbon cabin, the glass roof full of sky, and the moment the turbos wake up.
The man and the car
Olivier Benloulou is an entrepreneur from Gatineau, Quebec, and the founder of OB Prestige Auto, set up in 2012. His Agera RS is a very specific car: Arctic White with red carbon details on the splitter, canards, side skirts, arch vents, rear wing and roof, and it carries the optional 1 Megawatt engine package. When it was shown in 2018 it was reported as the 23rd Agera RS built, the 147th Koenigsegg overall, and the second Agera RS in Canada.

The Agera RS in numbers
Koenigsegg unveiled the Agera RS at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and built 25 of them, all sold by early 2016. Production ended in April 2018. Power comes from a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 making 1,160 hp on regular pump fuel; the 1 MW package, borrowed from the One:1, takes it to around 1,360 hp.
In November 2017 a customer-owned Agera RS, driven by Niklas Lilja on a closed public road in Nevada, averaged 446.97 km/h over two runs and covered 0-400-0 km/h in 33.29 seconds. Records like these are why the car is still talked about.

From the passenger seat
What the numbers don't tell you is how calm it all is until it isn't. The cabin is tight, wrapped in carbon, with the roof panel letting the light pour in. At part throttle the Agera RS rolls along like an expensive GT. Then the right foot goes down and the horizon simply arrives faster than your brain expects. You can watch our faces do the explaining in the video.
Why it matters
Hypercars this rare usually disappear into collections. Owners who drive them, and share the passenger seat, keep the culture honest. For more Canadian car culture, see our Montreal F1 weekend, and for record runs of a different kind, our Nürburgring sim session.
